The school continues to move from strength to strength, with improving outcomes, rising aspirations and a culture rooted in respect, collaboration and high‑quality teaching. Staff benefit from a calm, purposeful environment where great lessons can thrive and students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.

  • A strong understanding of key historical periods, events and themes
  • The ability to analyse sources and interpret evidence critically
  • Curiosity about how the past has shaped societies and cultures
  • Confidence to debate, question and form independent judgments

You’ll work closely with a supportive and collaborative humanities department that values creativity, teamwork and professional autonomy.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS (or another recognised teaching qualification)
  • Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
  • The ability to plan and deliver inspiring, challenging lessons
  • Strong communication skills and effective behaviour management
  • A commitment to high standards and a positive learning culture

What the School Offers:

  • A friendly and supportive staff community
  • Students who are valued as individuals and encouraged to succeed
  • A calm environment focused on high‑quality teaching and learning
