Role: History/RE Teacher
Location: Dudley
Salary: £32,000 - £50,00- (depending on experience)
I am currently working with a secondary school seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of History & Religious Studies to join their Humanities faculty.
The school is looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and strong subject knowledge into the classroom while helping students develop curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team where staff are encouraged to share ideas, contribute to curriculum development, and play an active role in school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality History and Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages
- Plan engaging and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Encourage students to think critically, analyse evidence, and develop strong written skills
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance
- Contribute positively to the wider Humanities department
- Support extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities where appropriate
The School Is Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong subject knowledge in History and/or Religious Studies
- Can inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
- Is passionate about education and student progress
- Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Works well within a team and contributes positively to department culture
- Is committed to ongoing professional development
The position would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to further develop their skills within a supportive school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
