Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Sunderland
Start Date: After Easter
Pay: £115 – £125 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Long-term
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Sunderland area starting after the Easter break.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and adaptable HLTA who is comfortable working across all primary age groups, supporting teachers and delivering lessons when required. The school is looking for someone who is committed, flexible and happy to take on a long-term role within the school.
The Role:

Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
-
Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
-
Providing small group and one-to-one support where needed
-
Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
-
Working closely with teachers and staff to support pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold HLTA status or a relevant Level 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)

Have experience working within primary schools
-
Be confident covering lessons and supporting across different year groups
-
Be flexible, proactive and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
-
Be looking for a long-term position within a supportive school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
