Part‑Time HLTA – Primary school (DT9)
2 days per week (flexible days) • Start: After Easter • Summer Term Contract
A DT9 primary School are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their warm, community‑focused school after Easter. This part‑time position offers flexibility with working days and runs through to the end of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA who thrives on variety. You will play an important role in covering PPA time and supporting ECT release time, ensuring high‑quality learning continues across KS1 and KS2.
About the Role
- 2 days per week (days can be arranged to suit your availability)
- Providing PPA cover and ECT release time
- Delivering pre‑planned lessons confidently across different year groups
- Supporting learning, behaviour, and engagement within the classroom
- Working closely with teaching staff and SLT to ensure continuity and progress for pupils

- An experienced and reliable HLTA (Level 4 qualification or equivalent)
- Someone confident delivering lessons independently
- Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
- A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to supporting teaching teams
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
