Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary setting in the North Lakes area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support teaching and learning across key stages within the primary phase.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to prepare and deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups.
  • Contribute to the wider school environment and uphold high standards of behaviour and engagement.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a HLTA qualification or has significant experience covering classes.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead whole-class sessions.
  • Is adaptable, dependable, and committed to supporting pupil progress.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Has an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
