Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Blackburn who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join their Modern Foreign Languages department on a full-time basis from January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate language specialist to inspire students and promote a love of Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for pupils.

The Role

  • Full-time Teacher of Spanish
  • Commencing January 2027
  • Teaching Spanish across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons
  • Monitoring student progress and supporting achievement
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and MFL department

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Have experience teaching Spanish within a UK secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to raising standards and pupil attainment
  • Be a positive, proactive and collaborative team member

All applicants must hold QTS and be eligible to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, will be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
