Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Religious Education (RE) to join our successful secondary school in Bournemouth from September 2026.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Religious Education and committed to providing engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons that encourage students to think critically about religion, beliefs, ethics and contemporary issues.
The Role
As a Teacher of RE, you will:
- Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
- Inspire students to develop their knowledge, understanding and critical-thinking skills.
- Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the RE department.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching RE/Religious Studies in a secondary school setting.
- Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
- Can create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Has high expectations of all students.
- Is committed to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Works effectively as part of a supportive department and wider school team.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
