Headteacher – Specialist Provision
Northampton, NN1 and NN14 area
Contract: Full-time

We are seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead our specialist provision in Northampton, supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including SEND. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in a nurturing, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment.
About the Role
As Headteacher, you will:

Provide strategic and operational leadership across the provision

Champion inclusive, child-centred practice
-
Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team

Drive outstanding teaching, learning, and therapeutic support

Build strong partnerships with families, professionals, and the wider community
-
Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and achievement
About You
We are looking for a leader who:
-
Has substantial senior leadership experience, ideally within specialist or alternative provision
-
Demonstrates a deep understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
-
Has a proven track record of school improvement and raising outcomes
-
Is committed to trauma-informed and relational approaches
-
Leads with integrity, resilience, and vision
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant leadership qualifications (NPQH or equivalent desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
