Head of Religious Education (Maternity Cover)
6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Start Date: November 2026 Oxford

MPS/UPS + TLR 1/2 (depending on experience and school structure)

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and manage the Religious Education Department.
- Deliver outstanding RE lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Inspire students of all abilities through engaging and innovative teaching.
- Promote high standards of achievement and progress.
- Support the Catholic ethos and mission of the school.
- Contribute to the wider spiritual and pastoral life of the school.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is a qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Religious Education or Theology.
- Has a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
- Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about Catholic education and student success.
- Can inspire, motivate and develop both students and colleagues.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
