Full Time | Permanent | September Start

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth to appoint an ambitious and inspiring Head of English to join their team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong and passionate English Teacher ready to take the next step in their career. Previous leadership experience is not essential – the school is keen to support and develop the right individual with the drive, vision, and commitment to lead a thriving department.

The Role:

  • Lead and develop the English department, driving high standards of teaching and achievement
  • Inspire students through a creative and engaging curriculum
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the department
  • Play a key role in whole-school improvement initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified English Teacher with a proven track record of strong classroom practice
  • Have the ambition and readiness to step into a leadership role
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
