Head of Computing & Digital Literacy

Teaching Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded co-educational independent prep school in Cambridge for an exceptional Head of Computing & Digital Literacy.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a future-focused Computing provision for pupils aged 3–13, within a school known for academic excellence, innovation and a strong sense of community.
The Role
You will lead Computing and Digital Literacy across Years 3–8, delivering a bespoke curriculum that exceeds National Curriculum expectations. The department is well resourced, with learning enhanced through robotics, Raspberry Pi devices, e‑safety and emerging AI literacy, and strong cross-curricular links across STEM.
Working closely with senior leaders, STEM colleagues and the IT team, you will help shape the school’s wider digital strategy within a Microsoft 365 environment.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a passionate Computing specialist with:
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Experience teaching and leading Computing and Digital Literacy
- Strong subject knowledge, including programming and digital safeguarding
- The ability to inspire pupils and lead a team effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
