Graduate Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)
Pay: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Ofsted ‘Good’ graded secondary school in Warrington, to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting and take the first step toward a career in teaching.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be a recent or soon-to-be graduate (any discipline considered)
- Have experience working with young people aged 11–16 (e.g. mentoring, coaching, tutoring, youth work)
- Be enthusiastic, reliable, and confident in building relationships with pupils and staff
- Be committed to full-time hours during term time (8:30am – 3:30pm)
- Be open to a mix of responsibilities including general classroom support, small group interventions, and occasional cover supervision
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils in class and during interventions
- Helping students access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons
- Leading 1:1 and small group academic or pastoral sessions
- Covering lessons with pre-set work, when required
- Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing
This is a temporary role initially, with the potential to transition into a permanent post or a salaried teacher training opportunity for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
