Geography Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Bridport, Dorset
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

We are working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Bridport that is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young people and help develop their understanding of the world around them through engaging and creative teaching.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Humanities department and school community.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical and geographical skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for education.
  • Be committed to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
