Geography Teacher – Wincanton

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Geography Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Wincanton. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Geography and keen to make a real difference to students’ learning and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned Geography lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop a strong understanding of both physical and human Geography.

The Role:

• Teach engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Plan and deliver lessons that cater for a range of abilities and learning needs.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school and support students' personal development.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A commitment to supporting students of all abilities.

• Able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
