Are you an enthusiastic Geography Teacher looking for a new role from September? Teaching Personnel is working alongside a supportive and well-established mainstream secondary school in Weymouth that is looking to appoint a dedicated Geography Teacher to join its Humanities department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys bringing Geography to life and encouraging students to develop their understanding of the world, environmental issues and the wider society around them.

The Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.

• Adapting teaching and resources to support students of different abilities and needs.

• Assessing student progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.

• Promoting high expectations of behaviour, effort and academic achievement.

• Working closely with colleagues within the Humanities department.

• Supporting the wider school community through enrichment and extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school environment.

• Possess strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.

• Have effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Be able to motivate, challenge and support students across a range of abilities.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Be committed to safeguarding and providing students with high-quality learning experiences.
