Job Description: Geography Teacher

Location:

East of England, Cambridgeshire, Trumpington

£31,650 - £43,607 per annum

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students' participation
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on progress and areas for improvement
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Geography or a related field
  • Experience teaching geography at the secondary level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for geography
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working in a diverse school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
