About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to work across a range of secondary schools in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to gain experience in different school settings or secure a long-term position.

You will inspire students to develop an understanding of the world around them, covering both physical and human geography topics while encouraging curiosity and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Teach a broad curriculum including physical geography, human geography, and environmental topics
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage student participation and interest in global issues

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for education and student development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
