Geography Teacher required for a Secondary School in Ponteland from January 2024
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a small team at a secondary school starting in January 2024
The position is for the full academic year, and we are looking for someone who can engage and inspire students in their learning of Geography across KS3 and KS4.
Contract: Full-time and part-time available, initially until Summer
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering high-quality geography lessons to students in Years 7-11
- Creating engaging and interactive resources to enhance student learning
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular activities
- Participating in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Experience teaching geography at secondary school level
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for geography
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The successful candidate must be comfortable delivering GCSE Geography, as well as planning, marking and assessing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
