Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in Darwen to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography from January 2027.

This is a full-time position, initially running until the end of the academic year, and would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs with a passion for delivering engaging Geography lessons and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role:

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
• Is passionate about Geography and committed to improving outcomes for all learners.
• Possesses strong communication and organisational skills.
• Has a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
