Geography Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Bruton
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with the opportunity to secure a permanent position)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Bruton from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator who is passionate about helping students develop a greater understanding of the world and its diverse environments.

The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, encourage curiosity, and create a positive learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching experience is beneficial but not essential).

  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.

  • Foster a classroom culture that promotes participation, confidence and academic success.

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the success of the Humanities department and wider school community.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Has the ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.

  • Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and safeguarding.
