Contract: Full-Time
Duration: November 2026 – July 2027
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join a welcoming and successful mainstream secondary school in Accrington, Lancashire from November 2026 until July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity about the world and helping students achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students through creative and engaging teaching.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular activities where appropriate.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
