About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and inclusive secondary school seeking to appoint a Teacher of Geography and PSHCE from September 2026.
This is a meaningful opportunity for a reflective and committed teacher who is passionate about developing pupils’ understanding of themselves, their communities, and the wider world. The role sits at the heart of the school’s curriculum and ethos, with Geography and PSHCE playing a vital role in promoting critical thinking, wellbeing, and social responsibility.

The Role: Teacher of Geography and PSHCE
The school is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated practitioner to deliver high‑quality Geography and PSHCE teaching across the curriculum.
The successful candidate will plan well‑structured lessons, promote excellent progress, and contribute positively to the wider life and values of the school. You will also play a role in supporting pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal development, working in line with statutory and school expectations.
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver well‑structured Geography and PSHCE lessons aligned with curriculum plans
- Promote strong academic progress through effective teaching and assessment
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil learning to inform next steps
- Create a safe, positive, and well‑managed classroom environment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental collaboration
- Promote pupil wellbeing and safeguarding in line with statutory guidance
- Support the wider ethos, values, and life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
