Future Teacher Programme – September 2026 Start
Teaching Personnel Liverpool | Mainstream Secondary School

Teaching Personnel Liverpool is proud to be supporting a mainstream secondary school in Liverpool as they recruit aspiring Future Teachers to join their Future Teacher Programme from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are passionate about starting a career in teaching and want a direct pathway into a SCITT teacher training route. We are particularly keen to hear from aspiring teachers of Science or Religious Education who hold a relevant undergraduate degree.


About the Role

  • Full academic year placement starting September 2026
  • Work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant / Future Teacher within a supportive secondary school
  • Receive structured training, mentorship and development throughout the academic year
  • Gain hands‑on classroom experience prior to starting your teacher training
  • Opportunity to deliver small group interventions, classroom support and supervised lessons
  • Clear progression route into a SCITT programme delivered in partnership with the school and Teaching Personnel
  • Successful applicants will transition to permanent teaching roles at the school after their first training term

Requirements

  • A relevant undergraduate degree (Science or Religious Education preferred)
  • GCSEs, including Maths and English
  • A genuine passion for teaching and working with young people
  • Strong communication, resilience and enthusiasm
  • Commitment to completing a SCITT training route within the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
