Daily Rate: £120–£160**
Lead, Inspire, and Guide Year 6 Through Their Final Primary Year
A dedicated and high‑achieving primary school in Preston is seeking a talented Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full‑time role is ideal for a strong KS2 practitioner who thrives on responsibility, challenge, and making a real impact during pupils’ final year before secondary school.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Deliver high‑quality, structured lessons across the upper KS2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and transition to Year 7
- Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Track and assess progress, ensuring every child reaches their potential
- Work closely with the KS2 team to maintain consistency and high standards
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from teachers who have:
- Upper KS2 teaching experience (Year 6 experience desirable, not essential)
- Strong curriculum knowledge and confident behaviour management
- QTS – ECTs and fully qualified teachers encouraged to apply
- A proactive, resilient, and motivational teaching style
- The ability to inspire pupils during a crucial stage of their learning journey

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
