Full Time KS1 Teacher Needed for Summer Term

Teaching Personnel is looking for a teacher to start work in the summer term to work with a KS1 class in a Barry Primary School. The school have a low intake of students and therefore have multiple year groups in one classroom. This role is for Year 1 and Year 2.

What the school is looking for: 

The school is looking for a flexible teacher that can adjust the Welsh Curriculum to each learner's needs. With a mixed age group class, there will be students at different levels in their development and the ideal candidate will be able to adjust their teaching style to accomodate this. The school places their priority in finding the right candidate, so whether you're Newly Qualified or have a vast amount of experience, then please apply so we can start the interview process and get you in front of the SLT when you're cleared for work.

What are the next steps? 

The next steps are all about you. Teaching Personnel have their own vetting system that is accepted by all school's as it is stringent and effective. Before applying, please make sure you have all details for your reference, an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel), and an EWC registration (or willingness to register). 

Once you apply and you are invited to interview, you will be sent a list of all the documents you will need to provide for us to get you cleared for work. Please read through the list carefuily as any missed documents or missed information will result in unnecessary delays that will hinder the vetting process and the speed of which we can get in front of the school. 

You will also be sent Teaching Personnel's safeguarding course. We know you will have done plenty of safeguarding courses in the past as teacher, but this is completely free and will take 20-30 minutes of your time, it is also completely online so can be done in your own time.  

What if I'm not successful? 

Do not panic, we work with a number of primary school's that are in need of teacher's across the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff. We will be putting multiple people forward for one role, we know some of you won't be successful (as is the nature of the market), but you will remain eligible for other vacancies in the future and we will keep you informed on roles in your area. You won't be put through our vetting process for nothing and, when you're not going for a full time role, we can put you on supply for sickness cover so you're still in work. You can obviously opt out of this if it doesn't interest you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
