Term time only — meaning: Weekends off All school holidays & bank holidays off

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working exclusively in partnership with a specialist School in the Neath area to recruit a Full‑Time ALN Teaching Assistant for the 2026–2027 academic year.
This is a rewarding, long‑term opportunity supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a nurturing, structured, and highly specialist environment. Due to the complexity of learner needs, shortlisted applicants must be able to commit to full‑time hours for the full academic year.

The Role
As a Full‑Time ALN Teaching Assistant, you will:
✅ Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
✅ Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support
✅ Use positive handling strategies where required
✅ Support learning across the curriculum
✅ Work closely with teachers and support staff
✅ Help pupils develop independence, confidence & communication
✅ Be a consistent, trusted adult for learners who need stability

✅ Confident supporting challenging behaviour
✅ Committed to full‑time hours due to learner needs
✅ A strong team player with a nurturing approach
Desirable (But Not Essential):
✔ Team Teach Level 2 (Ideal)
✔ Experience in SEN / ALN / SEMH settings
✔ Background in care, youth work, psychology or education
✔ Trauma‑informed or behaviour support experience
