French & English Teacher – Junior School | South West London
Years 5–8 | Summer Term Contract (16th April – 1st July)
Short-Term Opportunity (Paternity Cover)
Recruiting via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Junior School in South West London (Wimbledon) to recruit a qualified and experienced French & English Teacher for the Summer Term, covering two extended paternity leaves.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher, with a strong emphasis on French, to work with pupils across Years 5–8 in a supportive and engaging school environment.

About the Role

  • Teaching French and English across Years 5–8 (French is the priority subject)

  • Delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge pupils

  • Following school schemes of work and adapting lessons where needed

  • Supporting pupils academically and pastorally to help them reach their full potential

  • Working collaboratively with staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

  • Contract: 16th April – 1st July (Summer Term, paternity cover)

  • Full-time position

Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully

✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✔️ Experience teaching English and/or French in a UK school setting
✔️ Strong subject knowledge, particularly in French
✔️ Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
✔️ Ability to engage and inspire younger learners (Years 5–8)
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

⚠️ Please do not apply if you do not hold QTS or relevant UK teaching experience. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.
