Role Responsibilities

You will be working on a 1-1 basis with a Year 4 child with ADHD. The child is a bright individual but does display the core tendencies of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), inattentiveness, and hyperactivity. The role would involve ensuring the child stays focussed on his tasks and doesn’t disrupt the other children, but also nurturing him so he fulfils his academic and personal potential. This role will start in September however we can look to get you ad-hoc work until then once vetting/referencing is complete.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate will also have experience with working with a child with ADHD either in personal or professional capacity. You will have a kind and nurturing personality and be adaptable to changing situations. Patience will also be crucial for this role; however it is also an extremely rewarding role for the right candidate.

About the School

The school based in Southampton and is relatively large with 400 pupils. It is a welcoming school that wants its staff to feel part of a wider aim and commitment. It has good transport links from the city centre.

You Will Need

  • Child Only Enhanced DBS (Your personal consultant can help you with the registration process)
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (Your personal consultant can help you with the registration process)
  • Experience working with children in a professional or personal capacity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
