Food Technology Teacher - Stockport

September 2021

One of our main using schools in the Stockport area are currently in the process of recruiting a Food Technology teacher to start at the beginning of the new academic year. This will be teaching both written and practical work to both KS3 and KS4. You will initially be introduced to the school on a supply basis then after the first two terms it will be opened up to a school based contract based on the performance during the first/second term. Prior experience would be highly desired for this role. However, the school would also be accepting applicants with a NQT status alongside more experienced applicants. This would be following the Edexcel syllabus, therefore prior experience working with this syllabus would be highly desired.

This is a medium sized roman catholic school which would be a great opportunity for any Food tech teacher coming to the end of a Food Tech long term contract, completing a long term supply post or recently finishing a teacher training programme.

This school is located in the heart of Stockport, it would be verry accessible from teachers travelling from the local areas. The school is closely located to the m60 ring road and could also be accessed from the M56 as well. The school is serviced regularly by public transport links with a local train and tram stop situated a very short distance away.

All Food teachers available for full time, long term work from the start of September are encouraged to apply now. You will need to have QTS, experience teaching in a UK secondary school, school based references and an application for a fully enhanced DBS certificate to apply.
