Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Food Technology Teacher to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate food tech teacher to deliver engaging lessons and inspire students through practical and theory-based food technology education.

This role is ideal for a qualified food tech teacher, ECT, or experienced instructor who is confident delivering food and tech lessons across KS3 and KS4.


The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality food tech lessons that develop students’ understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and practical cooking skills. You will teach a broad food technology curriculum, combining both theory and hands-on food and tech activities.

Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging food tech lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain focused and motivated. You will support students in developing confidence in a food technology environment while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and organised food tech classroom, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed when working with food. Monitoring progress, assessing student work, and providing feedback will be a key part of your role as a food tech teacher.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Food Technology Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS, PGCE, or relevant teaching qualification

  • Has experience delivering food tech or food and technology lessons

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills

  • Has a passion for teaching food technology and supporting student development

  • Is organised, reliable, and professional
