Job description
We are currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and forward-thinking secondary schools across Oldham who are seeking passionate Food Technology Teachers for both full-time and part-time opportunities. These roles are available on a long-term, temporary to permanent, and permanent basis, offering flexibility to suit your circumstances while providing the chance to make a real impact in the classroom.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will join a supportive Design and Technology department committed to delivering engaging, practical lessons that inspire students of all abilities. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging creativity, independence and a strong understanding of nutrition, food preparation and health. Schools are keen to appoint individuals who can bring energy and fresh ideas, helping to raise attainment and foster a love for the subject.
To be considered for these Food Technology teaching roles in Oldham, you will ideally hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Applications are also welcome from strong ECTs as well as experienced teachers looking for their next opportunity. A solid understanding of the secondary curriculum, good classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing are essential. Experience delivering GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition would be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
