Food Technology Teacher – Birmingham

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop their practical and theoretical understanding of food preparation, nutrition, health, and food science.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within practical teaching environments.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Applications from candidates without QTS will not be considered.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
