Food Technology Teacher – Birmingham
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop their practical and theoretical understanding of food preparation, nutrition, health, and food science.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within practical teaching environments.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.
- Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory. Applications from candidates without QTS will not be considered.
- Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
