Food Technology Teacher – Blackpool (September Start)
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full-time (part-time considered)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Blackpool from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and develop their practical and theoretical understanding of food, nutrition, and healthy living.
You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons
- Inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
- Maintain a safe and organised food preparation environment in line with health & safety standards
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Design & Technology department
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary setting
- Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for food education
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
