PE Cover Supervisor

We are currently working with a number of secondary schools who are seeking PE Cover Supervisors to support with day-to-day and long-term cover. These roles are ideal for sports graduates, aspiring PE teachers, and sports coaches looking to gain experience within a school setting.

Both male and female applicants are very welcome.

The Role

As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising PE lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and lessons run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work

• Lead basic physical activities where appropriate and safe to do so

• Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

• Ensure students’ safety at all times during physical activity

• Follow school policies, including safeguarding and health & safety procedures

• Support the PE department and wider school where required

The Ideal Candidate

• A strong interest in sport and physical education

• Confident, reliable and able to manage groups of students

• Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching or club setting)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
