PE Teacher Required – September Start

Are you a passionate and dedicated female PE teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Female Physical Education Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Oldham.

This role is to start in September, with the potential to be extended until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

The Role

We are looking for an inspirational PE teacher who can encourage students to develop their physical fitness, teamwork, confidence and leadership skills. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students of all abilities are motivated to participate and make progress.

The role will also involve supporting extracurricular sports activities and contributing to the school’s wider sporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons tailored to students’ individual needs and abilities.
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging sporting culture within the school.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Support and lead extracurricular activities, sports teams and school competitions.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness and student wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the PE curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, participation and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching PE at secondary school level.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Is passionate about promoting health, fitness and wellbeing among young people.
• Can inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to making a positive difference to students’ lives.
• Is able to contribute positively to the wider life of the school through sport and extracurricular activities.
