EYFS Teaching Assistant | BS9 | Full Time | September Start
We are looking for a caring and patient Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in the BS9 area of Bristol. This role is based within the EYFS team, supporting children in their early years learning and development.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a real difference during such an important stage of their education.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am to 3:30pm
- Term time only
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting children across the EYFS setting
- Helping children engage with classroom activities and learning through play
- Supporting with transitions, routines and daily tasks
- Building confidence and encouraging independence
- Assisting with social skills, communication and emotional development
- Working closely with the class teacher, EYFS team and SENCo
- Creating a calm, nurturing and supportive learning environment
- Helping to set up and tidy away learning activities
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
What We Are Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (ideal but not essential)
- Experience working with young children (paid or voluntary)
- A genuine passion for supporting children in their early years
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Reliability and professionalism
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
