Reception Teaching Assistant (EYFS) - Blackburn

Full Time | Long-Term Opportunity | Start Date: After October Half Term (W/C 2nd November)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Blackburn that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support within their Reception Class on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The Role

• Supporting teaching and learning within a busy Reception classroom
• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities
• Supporting children's development across communication, literacy, numeracy, and social skills
• Assisting with observations, assessments, and learning through play
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Carrying out welfare assistant duties as part of the school day

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Previous experience working within an EYFS setting is essential
• A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum

Working Hours

8:45am - 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
