Job Advert: EYFS Teacher (September 2026 Start)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Salisbury from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to play a key role in introducing a new cohort of pupils to school life and supporting them through their important early learning journey.

The Role:
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for an EYFS class, providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework. A key aspect of this role will be supporting children through transition and settling-in periods, ensuring a positive, nurturing, and engaging start to their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners
  • Support children in their transition into school, fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning
  • Adapt teaching strategies to cater for a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to provide a supportive classroom environment
  • Take full responsibility for the class, including planning, assessment, reporting, and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with experience or strong interest in EYFS
  • Demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Have the ability to differentiate effectively to meet diverse learning needs
  • Work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues, pupils, and families
  • Be committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Salary:
Main Pay Scale (M1–M6), dependent on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
