Location: Bradford
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (Term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join a specialist independent setting in Bradford supporting students with a range of special education needs, including autism and associated communication or learning differences.

You’ll play a key role in delivering creative, individualised learning programmes that help every pupil achieve their potential — academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who thrives in a nurturing, small-class environment where strong relationships and flexibility are central to success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to support communication, independence, and emotional regulation

  • Create a calm, structured classroom environment using positive behaviour support principles

  • Work closely with therapists, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure joined-up provision

  • Contribute to reviews, reports, and planning for pupil progress


Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS) with proven SEND experience

  • Skilled in working with pupils with ASC, communication needs or complex learning profiles

  • Excellent understanding of differentiation, visual supports and sensory-based learning

  • Compassionate, patient, and confident managing diverse classroom needs

  • Committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and lifelong learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
