Job Title: ESOL Tutor

Location:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) lessons to students
  • Plan and prepare engaging and effective lesson materials
  • Assess students' language skills and progress
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning
  • Support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Monitor and report on student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CELTA)
  • Specialist qualification in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or ESOL

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching ESOL to diverse groups of students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of language acquisition principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a learners home, care home or local venue (like a library)
  • Interact with students from diverse cultural backgrounds

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
