Contract: Full-time (Permanent/Long-term)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join welcoming and high-achieving secondary schools across Surrey from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through literature and language while helping them develop the communication and analytical skills they need to succeed.

The Role

Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that motivate and challenge students.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

Contribute to the wider English department and school community.
The Ideal Candidate
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Has a degree in English or a related subject.

Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Is passionate about delivering inspiring lessons and improving student outcomes.

Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
