About the role:
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:

Teach engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 if desired).

Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that stretch and support students of all abilities.

Contribute to students’ progress through effective assessment and feedback.

Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love for English.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider English department and school community.
Person specification:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Strong subject knowledge of English Literature and Language.
-
Previous teaching experience within Secondary education (KS3/KS4 essential, KS5 desirable).

Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
