About the role:

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging and effective English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with potential for KS5 if desired).

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that stretch and support students of all abilities.

• Contribute to students’ progress through effective assessment and feedback.

• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes a love for English.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider English department and school community.

Person specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Strong subject knowledge of English Literature and Language.

• Previous teaching experience within Secondary education (KS3/KS4 essential, KS5 desirable).

• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
