Job description

English teacher required to cover a Maternity gap within a large Bolton based secondary school from April 2021. This English teaching position is initially being offered on a temporary full time basis and the successful applicant will gain employment on a 12 month maternity basis.

  • Full time English teacher - Maternity cover from April 2021.
  • Temporary employment for 12 months
  • Ofsted graded Good Secondary school located on the border of Bolton and Bury
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (GBP23,720 - GBP39,406 per annum)

English Teachers of all experience levels are currently being considered for this position starting in April 2021, making it the ideal opportunity for any English teacher looking to gain an introduction to their next full-time teaching role.

The Head of English at our client Secondary school has highlighted that they would like to appoint an English teacher who can teach engaging lessons and has a real sense of enthusiasm for English and shows this in their teaching.

They aim to appoint an English teacher who has high expectations of their pupils and what they can achieve and is able to push the boundaries of their learning to bolster results.

In the schools most recent ‘Ofsted’ report, it was highlighted that English was an area that the school would need to improve on. Since then Senior Leaders have taken effective action and offered clear direction to the English department and the school has shown steady improvement in the past two academic years.
