The role…

I am recruiting a Teacher of English to join a successful secondary school located in Scarborough. This position is open to a Teacher of English with experience in Secondary schools, as well as further education. Applications from Newly Qualified English Teachers are encouraged!

This position is to start fro January 2022 and is open to English Teachers with recent experience of delivering the English curriculum to GCSE and A-level. As a Teacher of English, you will be joining an established team, under the leadership of the Director of English, and you will have the opportunity to teach English across KS3 and KS4.

Although you will be initially paid through Teaching Personnel, there is scope for a permanent contract to be offered to the most suitable Teacher of English, after a qualifying period.

About you…

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Newly Qualified Teacher Status (NQT) or QTLS (Further Education)
  • English specialism
  • Recent experience of delivering the English language and literature to GCSE and A-level
  • Passion for English language and literature
  • An engaging and dynamic style of teaching
  • The drive and ambition to promote academic excellence
  • Teaching Personnel can offer competitive rates of pay that reflect your experience and pay-scale. We operate a weekly payroll on PAYE.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
