Teaching Personnel are currently working with a thriving secondary school in Bolton to recruit a hardworking and passionate English Teacher to join their team from January. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive and dynamic English department where high standards and excellent results are the norm.
Position Overview:
- Role: English Teacher
- Start Date: January 2026
- Contract: 12-month fixed term, with the potential to be taken on permanently
- Location: Bolton – easily accessible via M60/M61 and close to Bolton train station
- Salary: In line with MPS/UPS (£22,917 - £38,633), dependent on experience
- Teaching Requirements: Must be able to teach English across KS3 and KS4

This well-established secondary school is located in the heart of Bolton, with approximately 1000 pupils on roll. Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified English Teacher with QTS
- Able to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
- Confident in managing behaviour and supporting students with varying needs
- Passionate about raising attainment and fostering a love of English
- Available full-time from January 2026

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
