We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school community in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will deliver an engaging, inclusive and challenging English curriculum that motivates learners, builds self-belief and nurtures creativity and independent thought.

English teaching here goes beyond exam outcomes; it is about developing curiosity, imagination and resilience, while supporting every learner to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), have strong subject knowledge and demonstrate a clear commitment to high-quality teaching and learning, with a genuine passion for English and for working with young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
