We are currently supporting a number of well-established and forward-thinking secondary schools across Oldham who are looking to strengthen their English departments. These schools are keen to secure dedicated English Teachers who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 available in some settings. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons in English Language and Literature, planning and marking in line with national curriculum standards, and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential. You will be joining schools that place a strong emphasis on behaviour management, academic progress, and staff wellbeing, with excellent leadership teams in place.
We welcome applications from teachers who hold QTS or equivalent, with recent experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and a genuine passion for education are essential. Schools are particularly interested in candidates who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact, especially for roles starting ASAP, but there is also significant demand for September starts as schools plan ahead for the new academic year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
