Location: Newport, South Wales
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: September Start – End of Academic Year (Immediate start for the right applicant)

Teaching Personnel is currently hiring for a dedicated English Teacher for a full academic year position starting in September 2026.

As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
- Encourage students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills
- Plan, assess, and monitor student progress in line with curriculum expectations
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners
You will have the opportunity to ignite students' passion for reading, develop their confidence in writing, and equip them with skills that will support them throughout their education and beyond.

We are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is currently completing teacher training
- Has experience teaching English at secondary level
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for English education
- Can motivate and engage students of all abilities
- Has excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student wellbeing

To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two professional references covering the last 24 months
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
