English Teacher

Salary: Up to UPS3, depending on experience and school

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher to work across schools in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed English specialist looking for a full-time teaching position, with the opportunity to work within a range of established schools across the Milton Keynes area.

The successful candidate must be able to travel to different schools across Milton Keynes, depending on the role and school requirements.

The Role

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons.

• Assess, mark and provide effective feedback to students.

• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.

• Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and progress.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership.

• Follow school policies, procedures and curriculum requirements.

• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• QTS or a relevant PGCE/teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Previous experience working as a teacher in a permanent school setting.

• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.

• The ability to plan and deliver high-quality English lessons.

• A professional and reliable approach to teaching.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• The flexibility and ability to travel around Milton Keynes to different schools.

• A genuine commitment to supporting students' academic progress and development.
