Teaching Personnel is working on behalf of a partner secondary school in Milton Keynes to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of English to join their supportive and driven team from September 2026.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated English Teacher to deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience). The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to a dynamic and ambitious English curriculum, while also supporting the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Assess, monitor and provide feedback on student progress
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development within the English department
- Support and encourage student participation in extracurricular activities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative and engaging teaching style
- A commitment to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
